World Dairy Expo grand champions for each breed line up last Saturday in Madison, Wis. From left are Ayrshire champion Sweet-Pepper Black Francesca, owned by Beverly Donovan of Benton, Maine; Brown Swiss champion Forest Lawn Whistler Molly, owned by Renegade Swiss of Madison, Wis.; Holstein and supreme champion RF Goldwyn Hailey, owned by Gen-Com Holstein Ltd. of N-D du Bon Conseil, Quebec; Red and White champion Blondin Redman Seisme-Red, owned by Milksource Genetics of Kaukauna, Wis.; Guernsey champion Misty Meadows Adacka Pixie, owned by Jaclyn Peterson of Wilson, Wis.; Milking Shorthorn champion Mi-San Acre O Lust-ET, owned by David Riley of Williamsfield, Ohio; Jersey and reserve supreme champion Arethusa Response Vivid-ET, owned by Arethusa Farm of Litchfield, Conn. The champions were selected through the week from 1,234 exhibitors from 41 states and eight Canadian provinces. This year’s attendance of 71,788 set a show record.
