SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance
In New York prices are 7 cents lower on larger sizes, 4 cents lower on Medium. Regional
prices are steady. The undertone is weak. Current offerings and supplies are moderate
to heavy for trade needs. In the Northeast, supplies are light to moderate on Medium,
moderate to heavy on Extra Large and Large. Demand into retail and food service channels
ranges light to fairly good, mostly light to moderate. Market activity is slow to moderate.
Offerings for breaking stock are moderate to heavy; demand is light to moderate. Spent fowl
offerings are at least sufficient with normal processing schedules.
