Compared to last week Slaughter steers sold steady. Demand was good.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly 1.00-2.00 higher. Not enough heifers
for a market test. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower with moderate demand.
Cattle supplies included 299 slaughter steers; 81 heifers; 407 cows; 39
bulls; and 11 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1400-1600 lbs 126.00-128.00.
Choice 2-3 1325-1650 lbs 122.00-125.75. Select 2-3 1350-1600 lbs 116.00-
121.50.
Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1350-1600 lbs 109.00-

5.00 lower with exception of number 3 calves trending as much as 30.00 lower.
Demand was moderate. Holstein heifer calves sold steady with light demand. Ag

Thursday's graded sale. One hundred percent supply Holstein calves unless
otherwise noted. All prices per cwt.
Graded Bull Calves: Number 1 120-128 lbs 130.00; 94-118 lbs 140.00-
149.00; 90-92 lbs 100.00. Number 2 120-128 lbs 130.00; 94-118 lbs 146.00-
152.00; 80-92 lbs 75.00-85.00. Number 3 90-130 lbs 55.00-70.00; 72-88 lbs
25.00-35.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 15.00-35.00.
