ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Messick’s Equipment is bringing back its popular Christmas light show to benefit local charities.

The show is free and open to the public; just drive up and enjoy the festive display of tractors and lights set to Christmas music, all from the comfort of your car.

Last year, Messick’s collected $45,368.40 in donations, bringing its six-year charity drive total to $212,712.02.

The show features over 70,000 lights choreographed to music broadcast on FM radio. Dozens of tractors are integrated into the show by using the machines’ headlights as part of the display.

Throughout the show, volunteers will be collecting donations to benefit five local charities. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to Mennonite Disaster Service, Elizabethtown Community Housing and Outreach Services, Paxton Ministries and the Water Street Rescue Mission.

The show opens Friday, Dec. 6, and runs every evening through Dec. 31 from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

The drive-in show features thousands of lights adorning tractors and synchronized to holiday music broadcast to an FM radio station.

The event is free, but volunteers from Messick’s will collect donations to benefit Mennonite Disaster Service, ECHOS (Elizabethtown Community Housing and Outreach Services), Paxton Ministries and Water Street Mission. One hundred percent of contributions will go to the charities.

Last year Messick’s collected $42,700 in donations, bringing the seven-year total to over $254,000.

The show opened Dec. 4 and will run 6-9:30 p.m. daily through Dec. 30. The address is 187 Merts Drive, Elizabethtown.
