Compared to last week, Traditional slaughter steers sold steady to 1.00 higher on a very light test. Non-traditional slaughter steers sold mostly steady to firm. Demand good. Slaughter Holstein steers not tested. Slaughter heifers not tested. Slaughter cows not reported due to Columbus Day holiday. Offerings included 211 slaughter steers, 168 slaughter heifers, 258 slaughter cows, 73 slaughter bulls, 237 dairy feeder calves, and 210 miscellaneous cattle. Supply included: 100% Slaughter Cattle (65% Steers, 35% Bulls).

SLAUGHTER STEERS: CHOICE 2-3: 19 head 1425-1520 lbs 105.00-109.50, 55 head 1170-1670 lbs 98.00-115.00; SELECT 2-3: 5 head 1280-1620 lbs 101.00-104.00, 20 head 1135-1645 lbs 112.00-125.00.

SLAUGHTER BULLS: YG 1: 7 head 1260-1885 lbs 90.00-114.00. YG 1-2: 21 head 850-1995 lbs 72.00-88.00, 25 head 830-2160 lbs 60.00-74.00.
