Slaughter heifers steady to weak on another light test. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls mostly steady on a light test. Number 1 and 2 Graded Holstein bull calves traded 15.00-30.00 higher while Number 3 and Utility calves traded mostly steady. Holstein heifer calves traded mostly steady to 10.00 higher on another light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 382 head for Thursday’s sale. Offerings included 147 slaughter steers, 52 slaughter heifers, 440 slaughter cows, 16 slaughter bulls, and 546 calves.Reported supply included: 55% Slaughter Cattle (20% Steers, 4% Dairy Steers, 4%Heifers, 70% Cows, 2% Bulls); 45% Feeder Dairy Calves (86% Bulls, 14% Heifers).
