“Meating the Needs of Your Customers” is the theme of the 2021 Pennsylvania Shepherd’s Symposium, which will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Penn State Meats Lab in University Park, Pennsylvania.

The event begins at 10 a.m. and will include a carcass evaluation and cutting demonstration by Jonathan Campbell from Penn State, a producer marketing program by Kingdom Livestock, and workshops on cooking lamb, and the effect of forage on sheep productivity.

The event is sponsored by Penn State Extension and the Pennsylvania Sheep and Wool Growers Association.

The event is free for association members or $35 for nonmembers. Cost for children ages 5 to 12 is $15. Families may also attend for a discounted rate of $70 for two adults and two children. The cost includes lunch and handout materials.
