Though Pennsylvania “farm boys” Dale Hostetter, 77, from Gap and Ed Blakeslee, 75, from Corry aren’t working in ag careers anymore, they also aren’t ready to call in the “junk-it guys,” so they are spending some of their retirement time restoring the tractors and farm equipment of their youth that they have collected over the years. They use Hostetter’s two-car garage at Sycamore Springs in the Garden Spot Village retirement community in New Holland, Pennsylvania as their restoration workshop. To date, separately and together, Hostetter and Blakeslee have restored two hit-and-miss engines, three Allis-Chalmers tractors, one Farmall tractor and have several options for a spring project. They could not be happier in “messing with farm stuff” in retirement. Here is a video about the two and their projects.
